After going out of the FA Cup to lower-level Deeping Rangers, Wroxham boss Damian Hilton will be looking for a much-improved performance from his side in Essex, writes Adrian Gowling.

Hilton was underwhelmed by his side's display against a side who play one tier below them, with only goalkeeper Elliot Pride performing at the required level.

The Yachtsmen, who have lost both of their Ryman League Division One North fixtures this term, travel to Thurrock this afternoon to play another one of the sides that is expected to be pushing for promotion at the end of the season.

The Rocks, though, have not started the season as many predicted, a point from an opening-day draw at Tilbury being the total to show for their efforts. They, too, crashed out of the FA Cup, suffering something of a giantkilling against Thurlow Nunn League First Division Halstead Town.

Hilton will be able to welcome back a number of players, including David Hinton, Jordan King and Nick Bailey for today's test. Jordan Rocastle, who opened his goalscoring account on Saturday, will be hoping it will be enough to ensure he retains his place in the side.
