New for 2012, showjumpers competing at the Royal Norfolk Show this summer will be able to take part in a qualifying competition for the Horse of the Year Show Grade C Championship.
This year's show takes place on Wednesday, June 27 and Thursday 28, with the qualifier competitions taking place on the Wednesday.
Showjumping competitions take place on both days of the Show and events this year include the International Stairway Grand Prix, the Norfolk Area Trial and the Ride and Drive Challenge Competition. Royal Norfolk Show Equine Administrator Frances Norton said: 'We're delighted that the Horse of the Year Show Grade C Championship qualifier will take place at the Royal Norfolk Show for the first time this year.
'Showjumping is an important part of the Royal Norfolk Show and we're pleased to be able to offer a new competition for riders this year.'
Entries for the showjumping classes close on May 30. Entries are now open online at www.royalnorfolkshow.co.uk or on 01603 731963.
