Hawes relishing King’s Lynn Town Reserves’ attempt to clinch hat-trick of league titles
King's Lynn Town Reserve boss Jonathan Hawes insists his side will relish the challenge of gunning for their third successive league title next season.
Hawes, more commonly known as Joff, will officially take sole control of the Linnets second-string for the first time after former joint-boss Neil Fryatt agreed to continue his role as Gary Setchell's assistant.
Lynn's talented youngsters lifted the UCL Reserve Division One title last season and Hawes hopes for similar glory as his charges prepare for life in Peterborough League Division One.
Hawes said: 'Senior football will be a tougher challenge, but we aim to get promoted to Step 7 football at the first hit. We've won two leagues and winning becomes a mentality. We aim to carry that on while allowing our young lads to improve and keep integrating into men's football.'
Double G Clothing will sponsor the side while the Discovery Centre will fund the club's travel for next season.
Former KES pupil, and ex-youth-team player Jason Coe, will be Hawes' assistant.
Hawes said: 'Jason will be a really good asset. He's got good ideas, is well organised, and knows his stuff. I think we'll work really well together.'
