Lowestoft Town got back to winning ways in impressive fashion as two Jake Reed goals helped them to an impressive victory in Essex.

Ady Gallagher's side had taken just one point from their previous three league games, with the postponement of Saturday's home clash with Mertsham adding to their frustration. But that was all forgotten last night as the Blues took advantage of a flying start to come away with all three points.

Reed was left unmarked at a corner after just four minutes and needed no second invitation to head home – and that was the cue for the visitors to dominate the first half for long periods.

Sadly Lowestoft were unable to translate their possession into goals before the break – but they kept plugging away and doubled their lead in the 67th minute. Again Reed was the scorer, getting on the end of a Shaun Bammant cross to find the back of the net from close range.

Harlow pulled one back in the 87th minute through Fabion Simms' powerful header – but the Blues held on to record a timely win ahead of two more away games.
