The men's triples got under way at the Great Yarmouth Bowls Festival yesterday.
Pairs winners Chris Willgress and Paul Webb teamed up with Charlie Boon in Potters Bowls shop sponsored event.
They played M Hart, R Pope and K Scott-Greenard, winning 21-14, and then beat Bob Hall, Alan Willer and Michel Tufts from Ashill BC 23-11.
Brian Soanes, Peter Clayton and Winfred Willimot won against Clive Jones, David Brawn and Chris Ward 16-14 and in the next game their opponents only managed to win one end, meaning the Willimot triple won 26-1.
John Tufts, Matt Flattman and Wayne Willgress recorded wins of 31-3 and 26-15. The Ramsbottom family from Lowestoft Railway, Geoff, Chris and Danny, won their first game against Freethorpe's Ken Taylor, Brian Brister and Steve Simpson 23-4 and their second against John Cooper, Don Brearly and Roger McGee (Lowestoft Railway) 19-9. Play starts at 9am today.
