Great Melton Cricket Club are hoping to form a women's team this year and are on the lookout for new players.

The club enjoyed a hugely successful season in 2011, with all four senior Saturday teams winning promotion, the midweek team winning the Norfolk Junior Cup and two of their junior sides reaching county finals.

The club is now planning to enter a side in the Thetford Grammar School Ladies League for the forthcoming season. The team will be coached and managed by county Under-15s manager Chris Brook, with assistance from women and girls co-ordinator Mark Cadge. Training is likely to be on Fridays from 6pm to 7.30pm and anyone interested in playing should visit the club website www.greatmeltoncc.co.uk for more information and contact details.

The club's senior nets take place every Monday from 6pm to 8pm at the UEA Sportspark until early April and potential new players are welcome to attend.
