While the eyes of the racing world will be on Cheltenham and the Gold Cup, local fans get the chance to watch that action live on a giant screen at this afternoon's Fakenham meeting.

The north Norfolk course stages a six-race card starting at 2pm with the highlight, the £9,000 Fakenham Silver Cup Handicap Hurdle, at 4pm.

Likely favourite for the Fakenham prize is Highland Fling, under Richard Dunne. But the gelding, who won at Sedgefield on Tuesday, needs to show no ill effects from that race and has to defy a seven-pound penalty.

Trainer Neil Mulholland will be at Cheltenham, but sends Whispering Storm, the mount of three-pound claimer Steve Corby, the gelding a Musselburgh winner last month.

Iconic Sky, from Lucy Wadham's Newmarket base, won at the course on New Year's Day and has Leighton Aspell on board, the grey filly trying to recapture winning ways after finishing third at Ludlow in January.

Mulholland and Corby have the favourite in the 3.20pm Robert Case Memorial Hurdle in Cesar Et Rosalie, a five-year-old third at Musselburgh last month after a Lingfield win. Hint Of Grey, for Conor Shoemark and trainer Don Cantillon, is a key rival, the filly runner-up at Huntingdon a fortnight ago.

Jockey Trevor Whelan and trainer Neil King seek a hat-trick in the 2.40pm novice chase with Little Windmill. A winner at Stratford when last seen and earlier at Plumpton, the seven-year-old looks to have most to fear from Master Jake.

The Dan Skelton-trained nine-year-old has finished second in his last four starts, the latest at Kelso.

The opening selling hurdle at 2pm could go the way of Sailors Warning under Michael Heard for trainer David Loughnane following his fifth at Carlisle a month ago with No Win No Fee his strongest-looking rival.

The 4.40pm chase remembering Fakenham favourite Prince Carlton, features Rear Admiral and Saffron Wells, the first two at Fakenham a month ago, the former, under Jake Greenall for Mick Easterby, now worse off at the weights.

Terry's tips: 2pm Sailors Warning, 2.40pm Master Jake, 3.20pm Hint of Grey, 4pm Iconic Sky, 4.40pm Saffron Wells, 5.15pm Wish In A Well.
