Crusaders Rugby Club's first pitch-up-and-play girls rugby event proved successful.
The south Norfolk club hosted players from clubs from across Norfolk at Beckhithe last Sunday to encourage more girls aged 11 to 15 into the sport.
'The afternoon was well attended by players and spectators alike,' Crusaders youth chairman Martin Alcock said. 'Both the under-13s and under-15s matches saw some fantastic free-flowing rugby and all played in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
'Crusaders Rugby Club is always open to new players and actively encourages girls of all abilities, new and experienced, to come and enjoy playing rugby even if its for the very first time.'
