Norfolk skipper George Walker has been passed fit to play in the final match of the Minor Counties Championship Eastern Division campaign against Bedfordshire, which starts on Sunday at Luton.

Walker, pictured, has been troubled by a back injury sustained in the victory against Hertfordshire last week and was forced to miss Swardeston's league game last Saturday. But he has recovered sufficiently to lead Norfolk, who still have an outside chance of finishing top of the table and reaching the Championship final.

Norfolk trail leaders Buckinghamshire by 19 points – so they would need to pick up maximum points against Beds and hope Bucks collect fewer than five points in their final match, at Northumberland. Cambridgeshire (61 points), who travel to Staffordshire, and Cumberland (60), who host Hertfordshire, are also in contention.

Sam Arthurton returns to the side in place of Carl Rogers, who has retired, and Peter Lambert replaces Luke Caswell.

Off-spinner and county coach Chris Brown is on a coaching assignment in Barbados and his place goes to seamer Kieran Bunting, with left-arm spinner Ashley Watson likely to bowl more overs in Brown's absence.

Norfolk: JM Spelman, SK Gray (wk), SS Arthurton, TR Ward, AM Watson, PR Lambert, AE Shearer, GW Walker (capt), MR Warnes, MP Eccles, KJ Bunting.
