Freethorpe 10M: City of Norwich AC pair Ash Harrell and Dani Nimmock star in first race of GP Series

Harrell, who is training for the Barcelona Marathon later this year, retained his Freethorpe title with a fine performance, coming home in 50:13, more than three minutes quicker than last year.

Alan Darby (Ely Runners) took second spot in 53:29 with Michael Eccles (Bure Valley Harriers) third in 54:15.

Fellow CoNAC athlete Dani Nimmock took victory in the women's race in 58:56, as she builds towards the Rotterdam Marathon at the start of April. Nimmock finished ahead of club-mate Charlotte Rose in second in 61:59 whilst Norwich Road Runners' Amy Beck took third spot in 63:24.
