New arrival David Bridges wants to show fans that he can be the complete midfielder for King's Lynn Town.

The hugely experienced former professional – who lists Cambridge United and Stevenage Borough among his previous clubs – arrived at The Walks last week alongside fellow new-boy Jackson Ramm.

And while 31-year-old Bridges may be 10 years older than Gary Setchell's other recruit, he is determined to prove there is still plenty of life still left in his legs.

Bridges said: 'I've always been very lucky in terms of my fitness, my lungs and my legs, to get up and down the pitch. It's been curtailed by impact injuries really.

'But I feel fine. Last year I broke my hand which was in a sort of freak collision with an advertising board, but I'm healthy, fit and I feel I've got plenty of playing years left in me yet.

'I spent a little bit more time as a holding midfielder with Brackley, which wasn't something that I've done before. It isn't really my game. I get up and down and like to win my battles. I'd like to think I'll come here and score goals because that's primarily what I always look to do and however else I can help I'll do what I can.'

Setchell feels the UEFA B qualified coach may also be able to help pass on his wealth of experience to his young squad.

'You'll see by his performances that he's ultra-competitive. But he's also got a good brain on him,' said Lynn's boss.

'Young players I think will respect him and look up to him and he'll try to help.'
