Form is massively important in football – but Wisbech Town boss Dick Creasey insists it will not be a factor going into his side's League Cup final with rivals Yaxley on Bank Holiday Monday.
Both sides are in fine fettle, with Wisbech taking maximum points from their last six league games and Yaxley on a run of 11 games without defeat that has fired them to third in the league.
But Creasey, whose men bring the curtain down on the league season today with a trip to struggling Harrowby United, says Wisbech's current purple patch will count for nothing on Monday.
'We go into the game and the league form goes out the window,' he told the club's official YouTube channel. 'Our league form has been good but Yaxley's hasn't been bad either. Hopefully it's a good game but first we need to get over the hurdle of Harrowby. Everyone is thinking 'how many goals is it going to be?' but we just need to go on and win the game.'
