Norwich Dragons III moved four points clear at the top of the Premier Division after inflicting a second successive heavy defeat on early pacesetters Lowestoft Railway.

The newly promoted Suffolk side were hammered 5-0 at The Den, after being thumped 7-0 at home by Broadland the previous week.

Kate McKenna and Ally Windsor-Waite were on target as Dragons went 2-0 up before the break and both players went on to double their tallies, with Hannah Ellis also getting a goal.

Broadland took advantage of Railway's latest slip by beating Evergreens 4-0 to move up to second. The hosts dominated from the start but in spite of numerous attempts only had a solitary goal from Natasha Blyth from a penalty corner to show for it.

Blyth doubled Broadland's lead with another penalty corner strike just after the break and Helen Brockington also converted with a powerful finish. With time running out Evergreens conceded yet again from a penalty corner when defender Jade Bolton finished off a well-rehearsed routine with her first goal of the season.

Dereham III are third following a 3-2 win at Harleston Magpies IV.

There were two derby matches involving Norwich Dragons and Norwich City, with the honours being shared.

Dragons IV beat City III 2-1 in a hard-fought encounter thanks to goals from Catherine Matthews and Trish Hagan, with Emily Greenway scoring for City.

Meanwhile City's fourths saw off Dragons V 2-0 (Amelia Ellis-Baumber, Sue Tomlinson).

In the remaining top flight fixture Loddon made home advantage count to beat UEA II 2-1.

Broadland II moved back to the top of Division One after beating morning leaders Carrow 3-0 in a fiercely contested clash.

In the first half Broadland survived a barrage of penalty corners with some courageous goalkeeping from Sarah Craig and timely tackles from captain Sophie White.

After the break an incisive counter-attack, led by Dani Parke, saw her shot from the edge of the circle squirm through the Carrow keeper's pads. Parke was on the scoresheet again minutes later and with the visitors caught forward Parke raced away to pick out Nikki Baker to tap in a third.
