High-jumper Chris Baker's debut at a major global event ended with him claiming an eighth-placed finish.
The 25-year-old from Dereham failed to get anywhere near his personal best of 2.36m, set earlier this year, and saw his hopes of making the podium come to an end at 2.29m.
The former Dereham Northgate High School pupil's Great Britain team-mate Robbie Grabarz cleared 2.33m in Portland, America, to come second in the 12-strong field and clinch a World Indoor Championships silver.
