Curtis Haynes-Brown struck in the 90th minute to seal Lowestoft Town's first away win of the season at East Thurrock last night.
The match looked to be petering out into a draw until the defender profited from Michael Frew's header back across goal, volleying the ball into the roof of the net.
Dan Gleeson shrugged off a foot injury to take his place in the starting line-up and his presence helped Lowestoft control proceedings in the first half. Frew went close on three separate occasions in the first period whilst Robert Eagle came close to breaking the deadlock at the start of the second period.
Just when it looked like the breakthrough wouldn't come Haynes-Brown was on hand to give Lowestoft their first win in six matches.
