Diss will be aiming to take another step towards promotion from London 2NE tomorrow when they visit fourth from bottom Woodford.

With South Woodham Ferrers still breathing down their necks this is another must-win game for the visitors.

Diss now have a five point lead at the top of the table following their excellent 64-5 victory over Cantabrigian last week while South Woodham were failing to pick up a bonus point at Ipswich, but they need to keep winning until the end of the season to be sure of going up.

The secret of the team's success so far has been the ability to find a blend of star men, youth and solid individuals to get the job done on a regular basis.

There is a great mix of talent in the squad, with players such as Sean McClure, Steve Hipwell, Phil Lelievre, Chris Beaird and John Laurie generally on the scoresheet through their running skills and power.

But the foundations for success have been laid by the men who, week in week out, put in a shift with solid performances, including Ali Abercrombie, Matt Richards, Kemi Latu, Fraser Hall, Giles West, Jamie Burroughs, Warren Wilby, John Bergin and Ed Passmore.

Then there are the young guns who in many respects are still learning there trade, such as the Hudson brothers Will and Ed, Joe Brock, Alex Leeder, Fred Precious, Will Waddingham, Jacob Page and Joe Hegarty.

Tomorrow's opponents Woodford team will have a strong set of forwards and fast backs which on their own home ground will test the resilience of the Diss squad. It's the sharp end of the season now, with just three games to play after the weekend, and the visitors need to produce a solid performance again, using the same game plan that has for the last month allowed then to win games and maintain their promotion hopes.

Holt could do their neighbours - and more importantly themselves - a big favour as they travel to Essex to take on South Woodham Ferrers. But it will be a tough test for a team battling relegation - they have lost 15 games and won just three this season while their hosts have won 15 and lost three. Holt nearly made it four wins last week but were edged out 23-21 by Epping Upper Clapton.
