Dereham Town's six-match unbeaten run will be tested this afternoon when title-chasing Thurrock come to Aldiss Park in Ryman North.

The visitors will be keen to maintain their championship challenge against Matt Henman's side, who counted the cost of missed chances last weekend after their 2-2 draw with Aveley.

After a difficult start to the season Dereham have turned things around and sit just four points off the play-off places.

They don't come much tougher than Thurrock though with the Essex side sitting in third place, seven points off top spot but with five games in hand.

Dereham will be without Matt Howard and Ryan Crisp but Adam Smith returns to the squad.

There will be pre-match fitness tests for Lewis Butcher and Payton Swatman with Louis Mason, who is back from America, added to the squad.

It is also hoped that in the new year Craig Bussens will be ready for first team action.

The striker, who suffered a horrific ankle injury at Wroxham last year, has been playing well for the reserves and building his fitness up each week in intensive training.
