Dereham-based golf professional Andy Marshall recorded his seventh hole-in-one when competing at the Marstons Beer Co PGA Summer Classic.

Marshall, 43, finished tied fifth, along with amateur partner Geoff Newton, in the two-day stableford event at Royal Cromer and Sheringham. But the former European Tour player enjoyed a real champagne moment on the opening day when he made an ace at Royal Cromer's scenic, cliff-top par-three 13th.

Marshall said: 'It was 187 yards, down breeze and I hit a seven-iron just right of the flag and it bounced left a hair. I think that's four in competitions now and seven in total.'

Kieran James (North Circular Golf) and amateur Ben Collins scorched to success, with 82 points. Ed Morton (EM Golf Studio) and his brother Robert finished on the same total, but James and Collins secured the spoils on countback after bagging 46 points in the second round.
