Dereham Golf Club's junior members continued the 2012 season by playing for the Scratch Cup and the Wiseman Trophy and at the same time supporting Sport Relief. Each competitor was asked to pay a bit more for their entry fee and to wear something silly.

The 18-hole competition saw some excellent scores with Nic Cains winning the Scratch Cup with a gross 75, junior captain Lewis Bates was second on countback. The Wiseman Trophy saw George Bedwell winning his second competition of the weekend (82-17-65), having won the men's medal the previous day; in second place was Frazer Chettleburgh with a net 69 (87-18-69). Liam Kevern won the nine holes scratch competition and Harry Bush took the net prize. In the five holes competition Patrick Rimmer pipped Matthew Goodman winning by one shot.

All winners received salvers and pro' shop vouchers which were sponsored by proceeds of a golf match played between Dereham Golf Club and Dereham Cricket Club last year.

The juniors along with help from some members raised a fantastic 80 for Sport Relief.

The junior season continues with the Easter Trophy on Sunday, April 15.
