Dani Nimmock continued her fine form this spring with a second-placed finish representing England at the Lillebaelt Half Marathon in Denmark.
The 28-year-old CONAC member, who won the Greater Manchester Marathon in 2-38:22 last month, was representing England as a senior for the first time and responded with an impressive performance.
Nimmock came home in 1-17:20, just behind Scotland's Fiona Brian. The pair were together at the 10K stage but Brian then began to pull away although Nimmock had enough in her tank to take second place ahead of England team-mate Emily Waugh in 1-20:59.
Nimmock has been in the form of her life so far this year after changing the way she trains towards the end of last year. She notched new 10K and 10 mile personal bests at Telford (33:44) and Freethorpe (56:42) respectively before also netting a new PB at the Big Half in 74:13.
This set her up for a great marathon run in Manchester but she is hoping to go faster again towards the end of the year when she will be competing in either Berlin or Frankfurt.
