FLY FISHING: South Elmham trout lakes 07500 703389. There have been some good fish caught to 6lbs over the last couple of weeks. David Graham took his bag limit for a total weight of 12lbs.

Robert Terrell caught and released five browns and three rainbows with his biggest fish estimated at 6lbs plus. As you might expect with the cold weather the fish have moved down in the water. Best flies have been hares ears, buzzers and nymphs.

Willow trout fishery 01986 785392. Willow will be closing its doors on November 15 for the close season. At the moment Willow is fishing well with plenty of fish being caught. As for flies just about anything is working.

Larkwood trout fishery 01284 728612. Both lakes are fairly clear and fishing well. Blood worms, buzzers and nymphs are all working well. The fish can be found at any depth from about four feet down.

Blackdyke trout fishery 07525 730447. It has been a funny week at Blackdyke with some unusual surprises. The trout have been taking all sorts of flies from buzzers, daddies, lures and even mayflies all fished on floating lines. The fly tying courses will be starting on Wednesday this week from 7-9pm and will be running once a fortnight up to Christmas. For details contact Paul Speed for details.

Rocklands mere 07900 004953. Plummeting overnight temperatures with the odd ground frost has seen the fish extremely active and have been feeding throughout the day. Overcast days best flies by far have been dries, black or olive CDC buzzers, claret or black hoppers and klinhammers, with black buzzers, Diawl Bachs and hares ears on brighter days. Thetford angler Mr Collier fished a day session and took 12 fish in total, three of which were Brown Trout and released, estimated at over 4lb. The lodge end of the lake has been producing the best results. James will be available for tuition and guiding days during the half term week.

Narborough trout lakes 01760 338005. Autumn will see the bigger fish on the move looking for food. Willow lake is getting back to its very best with a cracking fish of 9lbs taken. There are several fish in there well over double figures. Fish can be seen moving up in the water as the day progresses even taking dry flies.

Nar Valley Fisheries 01553 636507. Another two 30 pound plus carp have been reported from the Nar Valley Fisheries complex this week. Lake Geneva is the water on form, Mr Good banked a superb mirror of 32lb during the week. Phil Lee had the best bag of the week, a three fish catch with carp of 31lb, 28lb, and 24lb.
