Crusaders' pressure was rewarded when Loone fed winger Theo Elliot on the blindside to score wide out for a slim 8-7 half-time lead.
Crusaders fielding four teenagers in their back line continued to stretch the Woodbridge defence but failed to finish off a number of promising moves. Woodbridge on the other hand made the most of their chances and twice won turn over ball near their own line and raced down field to score two more tries.
