Crusaders were unable to hold on to a half-time lead as they succumbed to defeat at Woodbridge in Division One.
The visitors opened the scoring with a Robert Loone penalty, but Woodbridge replied when they took advantage of a fumbled clearance to score under the posts.
Crusaders' pressure was rewarded when Loone fed winger Theo Elliot on the blindside to score wide out for a slim 8-7 half-time lead.
Crusaders fielding four teenagers in their back line continued to stretch the Woodbridge defence but failed to finish off a number of promising moves. Woodbridge on the other hand made the most of their chances and twice won turn over ball near their own line and raced down field to score two more tries.
Crusaders fought hard to set back in the game but their efforts were blighted by an injury to full-back Tom Sandland and the sin-binning of prop Paul Sharpe.
Woodbridge sealed their win in the closing minutes with a slick try under the posts.
