WINGER Lee Croft has agreed to sign for City and will travel to Carrow Road to finalise a £700,000 move from Manchester City according to the club's official website.

Croft visited Colney to agree personal terms, complete a medical and meet some of his future team-mates on Wednesday before returning home to think over the move.

But today the club confirmed the 21-year-old has decided to join the Canaries and is set to travel back to Norwich to complete the move. He is not expected to feature in the friendly against Northampton but will hopefully join his new team-mates for training on Monday.

City boss Nigel Worthington told www.canaries.co.uk: "The right side of midfield is an area we've been trying to strengthen for two years now and I'm delighted that Lee has now agreed to sign for us. He will be a huge asset to us with his direct style, his pace and his general approach to the game."

Croft commented: "I came down last week to meet the Manager and have a look around and I was really impressed with the facilities and the Club in general. I can't wait to get everything sorted out and then join the rest of the lads for training in the build-up to the game at Leeds."

England youth international Croft has made 32 appearances (28 as substitute) for Stuart Pearce's side and netted his only goal in the Premiership last year against Fulham.
