After the recent downpours it was a huge relief to enjoy beautiful weather on Sunday at the Forest Edge Arena Summer Fun Show with showing which had both novelty and jumping classes on offer.

Well supported indoor showjumping classes started with the 50cm Nursery stakes. Emma Fenn from King's Lynn riding her own Darcia's Legend clinched top spot from Amelia Newby on Pinky. The pairs relay produced plenty of entertainment where a scorching round by Sam Brooker's Milly, and Jazzie ridden by Elizabeth Taylor couldn't be beaten.

The largest showjumping class of the day was the 80cm speed class which was deservedly won by Jo Woolley riding Paddockside Mo Jo.

The fun showing classes where held in the grass arena. There was a very high standard in the Condition and Turnout class, and all competitors should be congratulated. The eventual winner was Chentell Woods on Linnel Buckemeer. Elise Howard, leading her Welsh Section A Rummy, won the Mountain & Moorland from Charlie Parker-King's Eric. Other principle winners included Michaela Bollard's charosmatic Indiana winning the Coloured in hand and Veteran classes while foot perfect Friars Rosina, ridden by Alisha Smith, won the Lead Rein class.

The Championship had no less than 12 exhibits forward, and with very little to choose between them Indiana stood Champion with Reserve going to Friars Rosina. The novelty class Championship went to the 'Handsomest Gelding', Tia Woolcott's Samson and reserve to Chloe Peacock's Charm, winner of 'the pretteist mare'.
