Dereham have the opportunity to bounce back quickly from their first defeat of the season in Bostik League Division One North.

The Magpies lost 2-1 at home to Ware on Saturday to slip to fourth place in the table, Neal Simmons' side conceding a late goal in that defeat on Saturday.

Report: Dereham 2 Ware 1 – Magpies' unbeaten record comes to an end

It was only the third goal conceded in five games by the Magpies and that has been recognised by goalkeeper Elliot Pride winning the Safe Hands goalkeeper of the month award for the Bostik North Division for August – conceding just one of those goals last month.

They return to Aldiss Park this evening to face Witham Town (7.45pm), who moved up to 16th place with a 2-1 win at Brentwood at the weekend, despite being down to 10 men and then seeing one of their goal-scorers, Liam Whipps, also dismissed in the 82nd minute.

Witham won 2-0 at Dereham last season and finished 13th in the final standings, five points and five places better off than the Magpies.
