Norwich United have completed their dominant season with victory in the Thurlow Nunn League Challenge Cup final.

The Planters scored three goals in the first half against Premier Division rivals Walsham le Willows and defended well in the second half to maintain their 3-0 lead and lift their second trophy in three days.

The Blofield-based side lifted the league title at Plantation Park on Saturday after finishing 26 points clear at the top of the Premier Division table.

Damian Hilton's side then followed that up at Diss Town's Brewers Green Lane stadium this afternoon by winning the League Challenge Club for the second time in the club's history.

A thumping effort from Ben Thompson in just the third minute was added to by skipper Andy Eastaugh with a header from an Adam Hipperson corner in the 22nd minute.

Top scorer Matt Blake then put the Planters in firm control on the stroke of half-time, nodding home an Andy Cusack corner at the near post in the 45th minute for 3-0 and his 45th goal of the season.
