We've achieved so much in the past six to eight months in my eyes, but we're all still working our socks off to ensure we get over the finishing line ahead of Long Buckby.

I think it's really helping now in the run-in that we all get on so well. You can see the spirit in the group. That's why we're all there pushing together – just like we did on Saturday.

We are genuinely good friends, which is incredible if you think we all come from different places. If one goes to the pub, we all go to the pub. You don't get that at many clubs and I think it's class.

Things like when a new player signs they have to sing a song to the rest of the lads brings the group together and it does help on the pitch.

When I signed I did Amy Winehouse's 'Valerie' with Chris Bacon. A few have ducked out of it – like Jason Turner – who was happy to pay his fine. He's an experienced man so he wasn't keen on making himself look silly.

Ash Deeney took it to another level and threw in a few remixes. Rob Hughes took his clothes off and sung naked and Liam Harrold showed some good vocals when he belted out an Oasis number. Team spirit can win you things and I believe we've got it.

We do like a laugh and a joke. Hughesy is a walking comedian, but once we turn up to games we know we've got a job to do. Setch lets us have a laugh, but he's very professional.

He knows when we need to switch on and to be fair so do we. We've got a job to do and every single one of us knows it. That's the best thing at Lynn right now. We're all pulling in the same direction. There's no bad eggs here.

The winning mentality around the place is massive and that comes down to the gaffer, Neil Fryatt and Ross McNeil. Neil has been different class since he's come in this season.

He's a bit old school, but everyone respects him. He might have the worst banter ever, but he understands the lads and how to get the best out of us.

Ross is the man behind the scenes who just makes sure we've got everything we need. He's quite quiet, but he knows what it's all about and he says some really motivational stuff. He might be Jack Defty's best mate – which gets him a bit of stick – but he's inspirational.

The three of them work so well together and have made us work so hard. Sometimes we have a laugh that we run too much, but you only need to see how fit we are. We've scored late goals because of it as we never give up.

We got the job done on Saturday and that's all that matters. Last year we probably wouldn't have won that game, but to a man we all showed true determination about how much we want to go up. You've got to credit the whole squad for where we are right now.

So many players like Dan Buhlemann are good enough to get in the side, but have remained patient when they're not. Danny White is an unsung hero. Stuart Wall is Mr Consistency. And players like Jamie Thurlbourne and Steve Spriggs can add that bit of class. We all offer something different.

Ryan Fryatt is another who has been excellent this season and did outstandingly when I was out injured. We've all played our part and so have our supporters, who are different gear. When you turn up at some of these grounds and there's 100-odd Lynn fans there it does make a difference. They're our 12th man.

It'll be nice to be playing at The Walks again on Saturday against Daventry, but we need to ensure we're in the zone again. Three points is all that matters.

I might be a bit quieter off the field, but I'll be bellowing out encouragement to the guys again if I'm picked. I hope the fans continue to get behind us vocally too because it does make a difference and every game now is vital.
