Glenn Roeder has been linked with a January move for Wigan's versatile defender Fitz Hall.

The 26-year-old was linked with a Carrow Road move during the summer, when then City manager Peter Grant admitted an interest.

Hall reportedly turned down a number of loan opportunities after falling out of favour at the JJB.

However, a move to Norwich, where Roeder is said to like Hall's experience and his ability to play centre half or right back - could be on the cards, according to one of yesterday's tabloid papers.

Roeder could find himself losing one of his centre-backs, Martin Taylor, who is expected to return to Birmingham when his loan spell ends after next weekend's game at home to Sheffield United.

It still leaves four other loan players on the books, some of whom are expected to return to their parent clubs, but Roeder is planning a New Year clear-out - although he has already warned that players will only be allowed to leave if he has replacements lined up.

Another Sunday newspaper linked City with Charlton striker Izale McLeod, who hasn't impressed manager Alan Pardew since a £1.1m move from MK Dons in the summer.
