Caister supermoto rider Lewis Cornish battled hard to take home some precious Elite British Championship points at Lakeland Stadium in Rowrah, Cumbria.
A mixture of technical problems and atrocious conditions made it a tough weekend for the 18-year-old, who managed to take ninth, eighth and seventh spot in Saturday's Elite 450 class.
In conditions that got worse as the weekend progressed, Sunday's Elite open class racing saw Cornish race to an impressive seventh in the opener, before a career-best fifth in race two.
Cornish showed real character to nurse both himself and his bike home to record an overall 15th position and score some vital championship points.
