King's Lynn racer Alex Brundle makes his way to Silverstone for rounds four, five and six of the Cooper Tires British F3 Series, this weekend.

Brundle, who races for T-Sport, produced three consistent finishes at the opening round at Oulton Park last month and claimed his first championship points with a ninth and 10th place finish.

The Silverstone rounds will be held on a brand new 'Arena GP Circuit' layout which is being used for the first time this weekend ahead of the British Formula One Grand Prix, which takes place in July.

Ahead of the race, the 19-year-old said: "I'm going to have to have a bit of a look at the place - I know the general layout but the lay of the land is always slightly different than it looks on the maps. A racetrack's a racetrack though - its lines, kerbs and tarmac, the car is the most important thing and I really feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it now."

This year, all racers in the series have to contend with new rules designed to try and spice up the racing and give drivers better experience for when they move on to Formula One.

This means there are three races - as opposed to two in 2009 - with the first taking place on Saturday.

Qualifying takes place on Saturday, May 1, at 10am with race one at 2.1pm5 with race two and three taking place on Sunday, May 2 at 10.30am and 4.45pm respectively.
