Colchester Harriers' Adrian Mussett took first place at the Breckland 10K on Bank Holiday Monday in sweltering conditions.
Mussett was in a class of his own and won the event, organised by Thetford Athletic Club, in a time of 33:26 - a very impressive time given the conditions.
City of Norwich AC (CONAC) athlete Stu Huntington was the runner-up in 34:51 with Ben Rivett third in 35:51.
Mabel Beckett (CONAC) followed up her success at the City of Norwich Half Marathon with another victory as she crossed the line as first female in 38:17. Sarah Stradling (Colchester Harriers AC) was just under a minute behind in 39:08 with Wymondham Valley AC athlete Cat Cummings third in 40:12.
A total of 281 runners took part in the event, which was being used by many runners as a tune-up for the next Sportlink Grand Prix event, the Dereham 10 mile race, this Sunday.
