Boss Gary Setchell insists his players will not take their eye off the ball this afternoon when King's Lynn Town welcome Romulus to The Walks.

The Linnets manager is confident his charges will be fully focused on the job in hand come 3pm - rather than turning their mind to Tuesday's mouth-watering visit of table-topping Coalville Town.

The Roms arrive in Norfolk in 10th place having won just two of their eight Evo-Stik Division One South games so far this term. However, both of those victories came on the road and Setchell believes his side, who sit second, will not be underestimating the Midlands' outfit's ability.

'None of my players, or I, are looking towards the Coalville game. We've got to do the job today to make Tuesday a big game,' said Setchell.

'If we drop points or lose then it becomes less of a massive match (against Coalville) because there's already a gap between us. We're taking one game at a time. We'll be fully focused and Coalville won't even be mentioned until after the game.'

Long-term injury victim Stuart Wall aside, Setchell only has concerns over young defender Ryan Fryatt whose illness may rule him out.

Versatile Pat Bexfield, who rejoined Lynn from Cambridge City on Thursday night just 10 months after leaving The Walks, goes straight into the squad.

Setchell said: 'His quality and all-round play has made me bring him back - he's a very good footballer. He can play in a number of positions and he's never been any trouble for me.

'He can play anywhere across midfield, in either full-back position, and even off the frontman. His versatility will help. He played right-back before but Ross (Watson) is doing a good job there right now so he's got to get himself in the team.

'He's a good lad and he wanted a bit of higher level football. He had a go at it but sometimes it's better to be happy in football - and he's happy at King's Lynn Town. We're delighted to have him and I'm sure he'll prove to people what a good player he is.'

The Lynn boss also expects no ill effect in the dressing room from yesterday's open letter to the club's supporters - which warned Setchell's budget may be cut if gates remain low, by their standards - from chairman Keith 'Buster' Chapman.

'I had a chat with the players about it on Thursday. Like Buster said, cutting the budget is the last resort. I speak to him regularly so I'm not kept in the dark. There was no shock when we read the letter - he's been totally honest from the start.'

Fans can get 2 off Tuesday's top-of-the-table clash when they produce their ticket stub from today's game.
