King's Lynn Town bounced back from their disappointing home defeat against Chesham in impressive style, with two first half goals setting up a win that took them back to the top of the table.
The Linnets were quickly into their stride, with Cameron Norman catching the eye, and went ahead after the former Norwich City midfielder had been brought down in the box by Matt Peake-Pijnen.
The referee pointed to the spot and Michael Clunan coolly converted to give the visitors a deserved lead.
Ian Culverhouse's side continued to dominate and made it 2-0 late in the half when a slick move ended with Clunan finding Norman, who fired home via the post.
Norman struck the woodwork after the break before Sam Gaughran produced a superb headed clearance to keep the Linnets' two goal lead intact. Banbury pulled one back on 65 minutes as Darren Pond got on the end of a Conor McDonagh cross but the Linnets held firm to take all three points.
