Aylsham Ladies 3, Swaton Ladies 5

AYLSHAM Ladies, being able to field only 10 players once more, faced an uphill struggle against Swanton Ladies at Aylsham Rec.

Aylsham, although strong at the back with special mention to Kylie Timmins in central defence, were losing the midfield battle.

Swanton displayed excellent passing and possession skills and built their attacks patiently to gain a 4-0 by half time.

The half time talk by player/manager, Abby Timmins, outlined the need to close the ball down quickly and give support to team-mates more readily whilst in possession.

Taking on board Abby's comments, Aylsham played a better second half. Lauren Dunthorne excelled on the wing, moving the ball swiftly towards the attack which resulted in a hat trick from Gina Atherton.

The final score was a respectable 5-3 defeat to a strong and well-organised Swanton team.

Player of the Match : Kylie Timmins.
