Despite missing a crop of players through injury and unavailability Wroxham overcame the odds to beat third-placed Aveley convincingly and return to winning ways after a run of three Ryman League North defeats and a draw.
Jamie Speller put Wroxham ahead after 35 minutes and the game turned decisively their way five minutes later when Aveley keeper Jason Willis was dismissed after clashing with Ross Durrant and Gavin Lemmon converted the penalty.
Speller made it 3-0 soon after half-time and the hosts' woes intensified when Jordan Cox was given his marching orders on the hour leaving them with nine men.
Durrant added a fourth before Paul Burnett managed a consolation goal.
