In Division One of the Norfolk CIBA County League, Acle A have closed the gap on leaders North Walsham A to just three and-a-half points.

Playing Lakeside A at home they won by 101 shots to 50 with George Tubby's rink top-scoring 29-8. The previous night, North Walsham A travelled to County Arts A where they suffered a surprise defeat by 81 shots to 64. The two home rinks skipped by M Elvin and M Turner shared the top rink honours, both winning 19-12.

Lynnsport remain top of Division Two after won away at Roundwood A with a 101 shot to 64 score, their rink skipped by J Cason top scoring 29-9. Diss A remain close behind after they beat Acle B at home by 82 shots to 71, M Scarborough's rink winning 23-8. Browston A are also still in the promotion hunt after they won away at Brecks A by 91 shots to 79, top rink here that of Vic Moore's 27-13. The final match in the Division saw Shotford A earn a much needed win at home to Hunstanton by 93 shots to 59, with the rink skipped by David Riches winning 29-12.

Pentney A are new leaders in Division Three, after they won at home to Old Hall by 95 shots to 64, Keith Brand's rink winning 27-13. County Arts B lost their chance to close the gap on the leaders after they lost away at Norfolk BC C by 82 shots to 72, the home rink skipped by K. Potter top scoring 25-18.

Dereham A eased their relegation worries with an 86 shots to 61 win at home to Norfolk BC B, Chris Taylor's rink winning for the home team by 28 shots to 10. Division Four leaders Acle 'C' lost away at County Arts 'C' by 88 shots to 70, the home rink skipped by R. Syder winning 23-17.
