Onel Hernandez has called on Norwich City fans to get behind their team as they head into the Championship play-offs.

The Canaries face Leeds United on Sunday in the first leg of the semi-final, when the Cuban will be reunited with former boss Daniel Farke, the last man to get City promoted.

Leeds finished 17 points ahead of them in the regular season, losing out on a top-two spot with a final-day defeat to Southampton at Elland Road.

The injured Hernandez, who is unlikely to feature in the play-offs with a broken foot, knows his team-mates won't have it easy against the Whites, but says anything is possible.

"We're in the play-offs, so there's something to be positive about," he said. "Obviously it's Leeds, which won't be easy, but stay positive, stay behind the team.

"Let's just believe. I think it'll be a very good game, and I think we have a good chance against Leeds.

"It is Farke. I remember when we played at home against them we went 2-0 up, obviously then at the end we very unluckily lost 3-2. When we played in Leeds there was a spell where we really dominated them.

"They've got good players on their side, but we've got a few good players as well."

Speaking on his own YouTube channel, the 31-year-old called on fans to play their part this weekend, stating that the City players need their support to book a Wembley date at the end of the month.

Hernandez's relationship with those supporters is known to be a good one, and he's hoping they can lend the same backing to the rest of the team.

"The most important thing right now is just to stand behind the team, support them as much as we can and try to get good results out of those two games," he continued.

"Let's go, let's keep going guys. We need you. We need everyone now, and let's just stay positive."
