Norwich City paid £4,276,648 in agents' fees for the past two transfer windows, according to new official figures published by the FA.
The Canaries' spending was the fifth largest in the Championship for the period from February 1 2023 to February 1 2024.
That spans two transfer windows - the summer of 2023, which included 10 senior additions and four major departures in Andrew Omobamidele to Nottingham Forest, Max Aarons to Bournemouth, Milot Rashica to Besiktas and Bali Mumba to Plymouth Argyle.
City's additions include the free transfers of Jack Stacey, Shane Duffy, Ashley Barnes, Borja Sainz, and Adam Forshaw, deals to sign Danny Batth, Kellen Fisher, Christian Fassnacht, George Long, and the loan addition of Hwang Ui-jo.
It also features the January signing of Sydney van Hoojidonk from Bologna - as well as Forshaw's and Hwang's departure in the same window. Adam Idah joined Celtic on loan whilst Przemysław Płacheta joined Swansea.
The club's figure includes liabilities for payments to agents connected to deals prior to this period.
There were 35 transactions in total, meaning City spent an average of £122,189.94 per agent on every deal struck, which also includes new contracts for Josh Sargent, Kenny McLean, Onel Hernandez, Liam Gibbs and Idah.
That total ranks Norwich as sixth highest spenders per transaction in the division behind West Brom, Southampton, Watford, Leicester City and Leeds United. Below them in seventh are Huddersfield Town, who spent just over half less on intermediates per transaction.
In terms of total spend - Leeds top the Championship, having spent £13.28m, followed by relegated duo Leicester (£8.11m) and Southampton (£7.54m). Watford then come in at fourth place having spent (£4.69m).
Norwich's spending is a decrease of £104,541 compared to last year, when City topped the table for agent spend in the entire Championship. The Canaries also spent more per transaction in that period, averaging £219,059.45 per agent per deal in that period.
In total, the Championship paid £61,340,767 on agent fees for the period. The Premier League spent a whopping £409,592,929 during the same timeframe, with Chelsea leading the way, having shelled out £75,140,524, £15m more than second-placed Manchester City.
Ipswich Town spent £1,263,523 in their first season back in the Championship, whilst King's Lynn Town paid £1,105 in the National League North.
