Leeds United are reportedly considering a late bid for Norwich City striker Josh Sargent.

The American forward, who has worked with Whites' chief Daniel Farke at Norwich previously, is supposedly on their list of targets as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the window closing in September.

Football Insider's Pete O'Rourke is reporting that Sargent is attracting interest from Leeds and a bid could be submitted in the 'coming days'.

Leeds are on the hunt for a new striker after losing Patrick Bamford and Georginio Rutter to injury after Rodrigo leaving to Qatar earlier this summer.

Farke is reportedly keen to reunite with Sargent at Elland Road as they ponder their next steps in the market.

Sargent has netted one goal in the opening two games this season after taking the number nine shirt following Teemu Pukki's departure at the end of the last campaign.

The American international is under contract at Carrow Road until 2025, having joined from Werder Bremen in 2021 - whilst Farke was in the hotseat at City.

Norwich currently have a striking trio of Sargent, Ashley Barnes and Adam Idah and will be reluctant to lose a frontline member of their squad with only a fortnight of the window to go.
