The Imagine Cruising World Indoor Bowls Championships will descend on the International Arena at Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea next month – marking the 25th year the Norfolk resort has hosted the event.

Across 17 days of live action kicking off from Friday January 6, and with players coming from as far as Hong Kong, USA, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, the Imagine Cruising World Indoor Bowls Championships are an opportunity to compete and win the biggest prizes in the sport.

And, with it being right on our doorstep, you can be right at the heart of the action by booking day tickets, or even an all-inclusive short break.

The event is the highlight of the bowls calendar and 2023 is set to be another magnificent year with five trophies up for grabs; the Open Pairs Championship, Mixed Pairs Championship, Under-25s, Ladies Matchplay and Open Singles. Winners will be presented with their famous blue trophies, made by Langham Glass.

John Potter, proprietor of Potters Resorts, said: “Having first hosted the championships here in Norfolk back in 1999, it’s our pleasure to welcome the World Bowls Tour, all the players and, of course, guests and day visitors back to Hopton-on-Sea for the 25th year.

“We have seen some memorable moments on the famous blue rink in our International Arena over the years, and 2023 will no doubt offer even more excitement and top-class sporting action for spectators.”

While the last seven days featuring all the finals are broadcast live on the BBC, there is no better way to experience this premier world event than in person. Day tickets are available from only £12 per person with the option to also add a two-course lunch or dinner at time of booking.

With many of the players also staying on resort, it’s a truly unique way to experience a world championship sports event.

With limited availability remaining, now is the time to make your plans for a stay at Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea during the championships, with two-night breaks starting from £279 per person and additional savings available when combining breaks.
