The South Norfolk Community League is up and running in its fourth season, and this year it features a girls Under-13s competition.
The competition has 37 teams competing at U11, U13, U 15 and U17 levels.
Hoping to shake up the boys in the U13 section, is an all-girl team funded by South Norfolk District Council, who despite suffering a heavy defeat in the first game against Cringleford, lost only one wicket in their innings.
The U11 and U17 leagues are yet to start but both Great Melton and Garboldisham, holders of the U15 and U13 titles respectively, have made good starts to their campaigns.
The competition runs throughout the summer, with an eight-a-side, 16-over format. More details can be found on the league website at www.southnorfolkcommunityleague.co.uk
