NORFOLK WOMEN'S LEAGUE: Norwich City II managed to keep up the pressure on Panthers at the top of the Norfolk Women's League Premier Division with a comprehensive 9-1 win against Beccles.

City had to be patient in the first half but Emma Collier got them off the mark from a penalty corner. Moments later however, Beccles got back on level terms although just before half-time Ellie Brine restored City's lead. City were in excellent form in the second period and further goals from Brine (three), Lauren Lawrie (two), Emma Wood and Caroline Illing completed an emphatic win.

Panthers maintained their perfect start to the season as they made it eight wins out of eight with a 5-2 win at Watton II.

Gail Rudd opened the scoring before Gemma Rolph doubled Panthers' lead. Watton pulled one back but Helen Morter put the visitors 3-1 up at the break. Rolph made it 4-1 in the second half and although Watton pulled another back Rudd grabbed her second to complete the scoring.

Thetford claimed only their second win of the season thanks to a well worked goal in the second half against Dereham III. Karen Hodgkinson received the ball and passed to Sharon Brimson, who found Sophie Kelly and she flicked home to net the winner.

Evergreens kept up their good start to the season although they had to come from behind to beat Harleston Magpies IV.

Harleston took an early lead through Josie Tibbenham but just two minutes later Jess Shand pulled here side level with a solo strike. Shand then bagged another before the break but Harleston got back level in the second half from a penalty corner through Sarah Legg. However, Evergreens deservedly got the winner late on with Shand completing her hat-trick.

Norwich City Ladies III had to settle for a share of the spoils after a 1-1 draw against North Walsham in Division One.

City created numerous chances in the first half but at the break only had Jess Harris' strike to show for their efforts. North Walsham came out a different side in the second period and their determination was rewarded when they found an equaliser.

Harleston Magpies leapfrogged Reepham with a comprehensive 5-2 win on the road. Saffron Wilford broke the deadlock with a well struck penalty corner with Reepham equalising from a tight angle just before half-time through Yvonne Seago. Magpies applied pressure in the second half with Sophie Long scoring the second, deflecting in a cross from the right. Player of the match Saffron Wilford completed a hat-trick of penalty corners and Kara Kilbourn completed the scoring for Magpies. Reepham pulled one back converting a penalty stroke through Katie Lake.

Norwich Dragons Ladies III showed their class as they saw off the challenge of Pelicans with a 3-1 victory.

Saskia Delacave opened the scoring before Amelia Dawson made it 2-0 in the second half. Pelicans pulled one back but Klara Moolman settled any nerves late on.

Broadland II and UEA II shared six goals in a thrilling 3-3 draw at the weekend. Katherin Atkins opened the scoring for UEA but Abi Dennison levelled matters for Broadland. Francesca Kenyon made it 2-1 to UEA but Broadland wouldn't be denied as Nikki Richards made it 2-2. Broadland got their noses in front through Nikki Baker but UEA resecued a point thanks to Charlotte Cartner's close range strike.

Diss overcame Sprowston II as they swept to a 5-2 victory after a fine all-round display. Diss took the lead after 27 seconds through Lucy Kershaw before Toni Glover's quickfire hat-trick made it 4-0. Kershaw made it 5-0 before the break and although Sprowston pulled two goals back in the second half Diss were well worth their win.

Amy Brown starred with a hat-trick as Norwich Dragons IV beat Lowestoft Railway II 6-1 in Division Two. Lois McGregor scored twice, and Bridget LeGood completed the scoring with a penalty flick.

Norwich City Ladies VI lost out at East Harling 4-2 despite a spirited display.
