Great Witchingham will aim to close the gap between themselves and their Norfolk rivals when they host Saffron Walden in the East Anglian Premier League tomorrow.

Witchingham, who won their first league match of the season last weekend, could climb above Walden with victory tomorrow and take a step closer to the trio of Norfolk clubs currently setting the pace in the EAPL.

Leaders Swardeston suffered their first league defeat of the season last Saturday when they were overturned at home by Clacton and tomorrow they travel to struggling Bury St Edmunds.

Horsford were the main beneficiaries of Swardeston's slip as their demolition of Burwell moved them up to second. Horsford's bowling attack will not be short on confidence having skittled Burwell out for a league record low total of 34 as they take on champions Cambridge Granta at Clare College.

Vauxhall Mallards could only draw with Granta last weekend, dropping them to third in the table. Tomorrow they visit Clacton, scene of a thrilling finish in the same fixture last year when Mallards, needing four from the last ball, fell two runs short of victory.

In the Norfolk Alliance, Norwich travel to Diss looking to cement the top spot they regained last weekend when Fakenham's game was rained off.

The top two meet in Division One as Mattishall host Cromer.

Norfolk League Division One leaders and reigning champions Rollesby take on third placed Norwich Bystanders.

After last week's weather wipeout in the West Norfolk League, the top two in Division One do battle, as leaders Bircham travel to Long Sutton.
