Carl Breeze pulled off the most amazing comeback of the year to steal the Ginetta Super GT Championship in the final race of the season after trailing the series leader by over 100 points at one stage.

The King's Lynn racer was steadfast and resolute while continuing to produce consistent performances, race meeting after race meeting, to steadily close down the deficit to enable him to take a dramatic and overdue championship title.

Ironically, the Norfolk racer only concluded a last-minute deal to get onto the grid for the opening round at Brands Hatch and after a few races re-joined TCR, his former team, which heralded a long run of podium places, 17 from 18 races, to underpin his title challenge.

Ollie Jackson made a big impact in his first season in the British Touring Car Championship as a victim of one of the biggest crashes seen in the series for years. The Attleborough racer slid off at Brands on an oil-soaked surface – followed by a quarter of the entire field.

The result was a smoking mess which, fortunately, didn't result in personal injury, but did put Jackson's campaign on the back foot for a while until he showed his mettle at Rockingham with a strong points haul towards the end of the series.

For Josh Files the year was one of frustration as the Poringland Renault Clio Cup racer was unable to turn his raw speed into securing that elusive maiden race victory.

A string of podium places gave him sixth place in the final standings, but it perhaps did not reflect his potential, which he needs to tap into to become a contender for next year.

Dereham's Will Goff will remember his first season in the Porsche Carrera Cup after securing the Pro-Am 2 title with a number of polished performances which will stand him in good stead for a move up the ranks.

Fluid Motorsport's first step into GT racing was rewarded with the MSA British Endurance Championship title with the Team Bullrun Lotus Evora having dominated their category, with the rapid Martin Byford as their lead driver.

In the Britcar Production Cup, TJ Motorsport continually developed Tom Howard's diminutive Ginetta G40 into the fastest car in their category in which the Toftwood racer, supported by Breeze, secured joint fourth place in the series.

King's Lynn's Andrew Tsang sealed the BMW Compact title with two measured drives at Snetterton.

Ryan Bensley, also from King's Lynn, joined Tsang on the grid for the latter rounds in the series and quickly established himself as a leading runner which could underpin a full season in 2013.
