Swaffham Golf Club has earned national recognition by achieving the coveted GolfMark award.
The achievement endorses the hard work and commitment of the club's junior organiser Jan Churchill in partnership with new club professional, Alan Wright.
As a first measure of the recognition the club was selected to be a participant venue in the programme of events for Norfolk Golf Week.
GolfMark can only be awarded where clubs have reached very high standards of delivery in welcoming newcomers to the game, especially juniors but also for all beginners of all ages. The status comes with the support of England Golf and Sport England's ClubMark development programme, which targets growth in participation for amateur sport. The club welcomes all the family and Alan Wright will be offering coaching and integrated activities.
