Acle moved five points clear at the top of the Anglian Combination Premier Division last night when they recorded a crushing 7-1 win at lowly Sheringham.
Defending champions Cromer Town remain eight points adrift of the leaders, with two games in hand, after an even more emphatic away win at second from bottom North Walsham.
Dale Wilton scored a hat-trick in their 8-0 romp while Shaun Cameron, Antoni Fawkes, Dave Matthews, Darren Terrington and John Curtis were also on target.
The Crabs moved up to fourth, one point behind Dersingham and three adrift of second placed Blofield.
