Norwich Union welcomed Haverhill to Sprowston with high expectations after last week's disappointments.
Although the early loss of Simon Pitcher through injury affected the scrum, the team began exerting pressure and secured two early opportunities for Ling to convert penalties. Union continued to pile on the pressure and led 13-0 at the break.
The back row of Saunders, Bowyer and Rodwell bossed the game and further tries came from both backs and forwards. Although the visitors managed to cross for a try in the extended stoppage time at no other point did they look like scoring. Union's man of the match was Richard Roddas.
