Defender Jason Lee's blossoming partnership with Ryan Fryatt at the heart of King's Lynn Town's defence will face one of its toughest tests this evening.

Free-scoring Worksop Town, fourth, arrive having netted in every Evo-Stik Premier Division game this term, the only side to achieve that feat. The Tigers average over three goals a game in the league this campaign but will have to be at their best to break down a Lynn team that has only conceded two goals in their last five matches at The Walks.

Gary Setchell's men have worked hard to tighten up at the back since they were breached nine times on their own turf during two miserable September performances in three days. Centre-back Phil Gulliver was released soon after those heavy defeats and Lee admits his new sidekick deserves praise for how quickly he's made that position his own.

The 29-year-old, who played 40 minutes as a keeper during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Nantwich Town and saved a penalty, said of Fryatt, 20: 'Ryan's come on leaps and bounds. I've said it before. As a young lad, coming into a league at this level, he really has come on leaps and bounds.

'The same can be said for Chris Ward and little Macca (Tom McLeish, both featured on Saturday). For them, coming out of the reserves and slotting in they did extremely well, I was very impressed.'

While Worksop are likely to pose a huge attacking threat, their ability to defend has been less impressive. They are one of three clubs in the Northern Premier League yet to record an away clean sheet – the other two being Droylsden and Lynn.

Midfielder Andy Hall (hip) is a slight injury doubt for the Linnets who can welcome back suspension-free Dan Quigley, Jordan Yong and Massiah McDonald. Norfolk's premiere non-league outfit are eighth but are just five points behind their opponents, who they beat 4-1 in September's reverse fixture.
