Dereham Town are up for the challenge of the congested fixture schedule that awaits them over the next few weeks, according to manager Matt Henman.

The Magpies travel to Essex today to take on Burnham Ramblers and boss Henman believes his side have what it takes to cope with five league games inside two weeks.

He said: 'Our last three away matches have all been postponed due to the weather, so we are all very hopeful that Saturday's game at Burnham will be on, so we avoid fixture congestion.

'It looks like the weather will hold and from what we know their pitch drains well, and I think the game they had off on their pitch against Maldon was the first they had called off in five years, so we are hopeful it will go ahead.

'We have got five games in 14 days starting on Saturday, we have got some tough away trips but also some hard home games to come as well. We had a good fitness training session on Tuesday night, getting fit after Christmas and the new year as we know fitness will be key going into this run of games.'
