Following the first games after the Christmas and New Year break, County Arts A have gone top of Division One of the Norfolk CIBA County Bowls League sponsored by Granite Transformations.
Playing away at Pentney A they won by 81 shots to 65, with their rink skipped by Mark Turner top scoring 20-12. Acle A have dropped to second in the table after they lost their first game of the season away at Lynnsport A by 76 shots to 74, despite their rink skipped by George Tubby winning 26-11. Norfolk BC A kept in touch with the leaders by winning away at Diss A by 90 shots to 56, Jack Willgress's rink winning 27-6.
At the bottom of the table Wymondham A won their first game away at Gallow A by 81 shots to 78 with the home rink skipped by David Vaughan top scoring 23-15.
In Division Two, Lakeside A closed the gap on the leaders Shotford A following their win away at Acle B by 73 shots to 62, Ken Breame's rink winning for them 24-15. Browston A moved away from the bottom of the table with a win at home to Old Hall by 95 shots to 72, their rink skipped by Pat Morris winning 32-16.
North Walsham strengthened their position at the top of Division Three (North) by beating Lynnsport B at home by 102 shots to 51, their rink skipped by Rob James top scoring 30-7.
Pinewood Park B remain second after they edged out Gallow B at home by 73 shots to 72, their rink skipped by David Daniels winning 22-12. County Arts C are third following their win at home to Pentney B by 106 shots to 61, Terry Yallop's rink winning 37-6.
In another close match Roundwood B won away at Norfolk BC C by 73 shots to 72, top rink honours being shared by the home rink skipped by John Dickerson 19-16 and the away rink skipped by G Revell 20-17.
In Division Four (Central), Norfolk BC B lost the chance to improve their position at the top of the table after they lost away at Roundwood A by 82 shots to 68, the home rink skipped by John Spinks winning 20-13. Wymondham B have moved up to third place following their win away at Dereham B by 87 shots to 67, their rink skipped by Graham Bidewell winning 25-14. Lakeside B beat Acle C at home by 83 shots to 79, Richard Flaxman's rink winning 25-18.
With leaders Beccles not playing, Great Yarmouth closed the gap at the top of Division Three (South) to just one point after they won away at Wymondham C by 82 shots to 67, their rink skipped by D Barber top scoring 19-8. Shotford B won at home to Diss B by 78 shots to 74, their rink skipped by Keith Rickard winning 22-16.
